About Baseball Cleats & Shoes

I love blogging. It comes natural to me because I love to write, especially about the many things I am passionate about... music, baseball, being a father, my Chicago White Sox, etc. Blogging is the perfect stage to share my thoughts and feelings, passions, hopes and dreams, and knowledge to the world wide web. I have my undergraduate degree in Music Composition and Piano Performance, and music was the first passion of mine I persued. I have written several compositions for solo piano, vocal choirs, handbell choirs, chamber ensembles, as well as orchestra. Another passion of mine - equal to music is storytelling - particularly for the screen. I have only made some short films, but have completed two feature-length screenplays, and two-thirds of another. I also have other story treatments and ideas for future development. Hopefully, they will all make their way to the big screen. I have one daughter, Epifhany. She is six years old. We play outside with a plastic bat and ball, I take her to the zoo, we play "Old Maid," she takes dance class with my aunts who run a dance studio. I do not know if more children are in my future, but this one has been a lot of fun, espcially at this age. I had a lot of questions and concerns with Epifhany, as she is my first and only child. I sought advice from my parents, from relatives, even books. But, as the famous saying goes.... "Children don't come with an instruction manuel." Being a parent is far and away the hardest but most rewarding job one could ever have. Although I was a Music Composition/Piano Performance major in college, I could just as easily have persued my passion for filmmaking as I did music. Now, I look to expand my blogging, my filmmaking, and my music. The visual image, the sound of music, and poetry of language... I love them all...
